Syrian refugees receive medical aid thanks to mobile health clinics

Tifie Humanitarian was conceptualized from our founder’s desire to provide tools to disadvantaged people that enable them to escape poverty. For us, these tools are products. Products can be used in any culture, language or situation, and the recipient has the freedom to use these products creatively in order to lift themselves out of poverty.

Founder, Robert Workman, went to the Democratic Republic of the Congo when Tifie was first founded. The lack of energy access in the DRC inspired Tifie’s team to create a solution that would put power into the hands of disadvantaged people. This marked the beginning of Goal Zero, the world’s market leader in portable power and the 2009 Inc 500’s 9th fastest growing company in the United States.

The Tifie team leverages the ingenuity, expertise and resources of its founder’s for-profit companies to deliver sustainable impact to disadvantaged communities around the world. We believe that private enterprise has a moral responsibility to give, and, as we like to say, when you do good, you get good.

Tifie is committed to its five pillars of shelter, power, water, food and education. We send resources to projects that ensure people have their own basic needs met, all with the intention of creating self-sufficiency and job creation. In the last ten years, we have stumbled forward, adapted as we learned, and continue to be touched by the inspiring people we help.
